Social Policy
For All The Ways You Care is a community that's about nurturing and facilitating connections and conversations. We want everyone to feel welcome, so we've created the following community guidelines to ensure a warm and helpful environment, where everyone feels they can participate.
We talk about this in more detail below, but if you follow these four basic rules, you should be OK:
- Respect others' beliefs and opinions
- Discuss, don't argue
- If in doubt, ask a moderator
- Have fun!
Be open and kind.
We encourage you to be yourself within this community - be open and genuine in what you share, how you support others and when you contribute. With openness comes respect for each other's differences and opinions.
We ask that the content you provide be your own and be truthful, to the best of your knowledge. Though we support dialogue and debate, we will not allow aggressive exchanges or any offensive or discriminatory actions. Beliefs, whether political or religious, are a part of what makes people who they are, so these beliefs should be tolerated and respected, but not pushed on others.
Many of us have organizations, charities and causes we are especially attached to, or advocate for. Therefore, well-intended suggestions, and requests for help, are understandable. However the community manager may step in to remove or restrict comments if the conversation becomes too promotional or commercial, or if people start to become upset.
Finally, we recognize that what members share may sometimes be sensitive in nature, so we do not allow the posting of other members' personal information outside of the community without a moderator's explicit permission.
Respect others.
So that we build a place where caregivers can express themselves and support one another, we will take every measure possible to keep our conversations free from profanity and personal attacks. We are relying on three primary means of doing this:
- Text Filter: Automatically screening out inappropriate language.
- Content Policy: Being clear to members about what is and isn't acceptable.
- You: Let us know if something seems inappropriate, and we will look into it.
Our automatic moderation service will not allow obscene language within stories, and will filter questionable content throughout the community. We will review anything that we pick up, and then choose whether to approve or disapprove it based on our content guidelines.
Content of the following nature will be removed, so For All The Ways You Care can live up to its name:
- Third party promotion and/or solicitation of community members is not permitted.
- We will remove any content and, if appropriate, disable the user's account for situations involving aggressive exchanges or discriminatory remarks. In addition, content will be removed that is misrepresentative and/or deceptive.
- We will remove any content deemed to be profane, personally attacking, and in violation of copyright laws.
- We will remove any religious, political, or other lifestyle views that are expressed as an imperative rather than a personal preference. Obsessive behavior is not permitted.
- Attacks on CVS or this community will be removed, but please feel free to visit our contact page and e-mail us with comments or feedback.
Create and share your stories.
Since we want to create a community that's empowered to share resources and support, we hope that the majority of the content in For All The Ways You Care will be user-generated. That means we're likely to see a lot of third party information, so we cannot ensure the reliability of the resources or information shared by members. We encourage you to reference the policies on any relevant third party site for more information. We welcome contributors' comments or opinions, however they are not representative of the views of our company, management or employees.
Help build a safe and happy community.
